Food in Lyme Regis

It is hard to keep up with the ever-changing and improving food scene in Lyme. Here are a few of our favourites, but check their current status and do book restaurants, particularly in the busiest months.

Sandro’s

The recent addition to Lyme’s top dining; a personal top choice. Only 12 covers, so be patient to secure a booking.

Cibo

A delicatessen and grocery shop located at the top of Broad Street selling everyday cupboard staples, organic locally grown fruit and vegetables, local and Italian produce as well as French, Greek and world foods, including salami and cheeses sliced to order, Mark Hix’s smoked salmon and pates from Chesil Smokery.

The Town Mill Bakery (Coombe Street)

An organic artisan bakery - serving breakfast, lunch and coffee. Great homemade food and atmosphere.

The Lyme Bay (8-10 Bridge Street)

Café, bar and restaurant with amazing panoramic views over the bay from its terrace. Stylish décor, relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Great weekend breakfast and wonderful lunches and dinner menu. All locally sourced ingredients.

Tom’s Place

Tom's Lyme Regis is a refined multi award winning restaurant dedicated to showcasing stunning seafood and great local produce with a selection of premium fish, vegetarian, and meat dishes. We will never compromise on quality or sustainability so our menus change with the seasons. We love to recreate classical dishes with a creative twist. Whether you are looking for a light lunch with a stunning view of the bay, or a special refined dining experience with a glass of local Castlewood sparkling wine, we have it covered.

The Harbour Inn

Good staple for a bucket of mussels and daily specials. Tables in the bar area preferred. Genial atmosphere.

                   Poco Pizza (18 Marine Parade)

Authentic woodfired thin based pizza topped with the finest Italian ingredients. The cosy informal 1st floor restaurant has a spacious balcony which overlooks Lyme's sandy beach. Serves on a first come first served basis.

Lyme’s Fish Bar

34 Coombe street, the best Fish & Chips in town. Closed on Christmas day (only!)

The Whole Hog (6A Broad Street)

Delicious hog roast sandwiches served with all the trimmings. Open for lunch only, get there early to avoid disappointment - often sells out.

Red Panda (7A Broad Street)

Fantastic Asian home style street food. Great Bao buns, Banh Mi sandwiches, rice bowls and salad boxes to take away.

                 The Millside (1 Mill Lane)

Delicious dinner menu, using local produce in a picturesque location by the river. Also serving coffee and lunch.

Kiosk (Cart Road in front of the Bay Hotel)

A seafront takeaway, closest to Little Madeira - situated next to the beach huts on the Cart Road serving Fair-trade and Honduran coffee. Excellent homemade cakes, Ice Creams, breakfast bagels, lunchtime toasties and crab sandwiches. Bacon bagles from 08;30.

Amid Giants and Idols (59 Silver Street)

A great coffee house, in a relaxing space with homemade soups, sandwiches, salads and cakes.
